"Puat" is a 14-are plot planted in 1952. Its unique feature is that it's planted with Syrah and... Chasselas! This white grape variety makes up 20% of the blend. Syrah and Chasselas are harvested and fermented together. This delightful complementarity is reminiscent of the vineyards of Côte-Rôtie, where Viognier can be permitted up to 20% in the final blend. This cuvée displays a beautiful aromatic purity, with red berry and spicy notes typical of the estate. The palate is fluid and delicate. Yet another gem from this vintage!
