Stéphane Saillet, champion of local traditions

On paper, nothing predisposed us to be interested in Stéphane Saillet's wines, and yet… In many ways, he interprets the essence of a place with more sensitivity than many winemakers.
Originally from Burgundy, Stéphane Saillet has always been connected to the world of wine, working behind the scenes at prestigious estates. In 2020, like most people on this planet, he had some free time, a moment for introspection. And the following idea arose: why not do for himself what he had always done for others?
Thus was born the Stephane Saillet house, with the desire to produce intimate and confidential cuvées in Champagne from exceptional plots in different French regions.
Each cuvée represents a grape variety in its region of origin, crafted in close collaboration with renowned winemakers, whether organic or biodynamic. Here, the term "Vin de France" has never been more meaningful.
We first discovered his project through his Gamay, and with a bit of preconceived notions. What a mistake! The wines possess an incredible elegance . A project we highly recommend exploring, one that goes far beyond mere curiosity. Proof of this is that you'll find these bottles on the finest tables in France.
