Eric Goypieron, a Jura singularity

Eric Goypieron is a journey in himself. A hyperactive, sensitive winemaker who doesn't mince words and wastes no time, he crafts sincere wines in the Château-Chalon terroir. A pure reflection of their terroir and vintage.

His production is limited, reflecting the discreet, free-spirited , and independent nature of this winemaker. Belonging to no particular school of thought, he doesn't operate under the radar; he's completely off the radar! Iconoclastic and unclassifiable.

Having become a winemaker later in life, "I should have done it sooner," he trained with iconic winemakers of the Jura : Jacques Puffeney, Jean-Marc Brignot, Etienne Thiebaud (Cavarodes), Michel Gahier...

Today he cultivates a small vineyard of barely 1.5 hectares. A true life project but also a social one since he is involved, notably alongside Morgane Turlier, in the Nature & Progrès association.

The wines display a lovely energy and are all the more remarkable with a few years of aging. In short, these are wines for now and for later; enjoy them while you can, because, as is often the case in the Jura, vintages with no production are not uncommon...
