Clos Lalfert, great wines of Aniane

This is a category you will encounter more often on the tables of top-rated restaurants than anywhere else.

Trained at Domaine de la Marèle, Baptiste Lalfert then honed his skills with Jean-Marc Boillot in Pommard, a region that would leave a lasting impression on him. A native of Languedoc, he established his own estate in 2007 on the illustrious terroirs of Aniane .

His vineyard now covers a manageable 5 hectares. The vines are cultivated according to biodynamic principles, but without any publicity, reflecting Baptiste's own unassuming nature. He has, in fact, left the appellation, as has Grange des Pères , the most iconic estate in the region.

Here you will find high- altitude wines, full of freshness, the antithesis of the sun-drenched or even candied wines that this region often produces.
