Jean Max, explorer of the Beaujolais terroirs

Maxime Barrot, also known as Jean Max , a local boy who has been living there for a few years, is a rising figure in the south of Beaujolais, a land where the stones are golden.
-
After various enriching experiences, notably in Chile with Roberto Henriquez, in the Mâconnais at the Domaine de la Souffrandière, or with one of the living legends of Beaujolais, Yvon Metras , he settled in 2019 with the firm conviction of making the unjustly overlooked terroirs of the south of the appellation shine.
-
Now firmly established in the village of Lachassagne where he cultivates 3 hectares of vines with determination, he also showcases, through single-vineyard cuvées, specific terroirs that deserve attention and respect for the nobility of the juices produced here.
