Guillaume Caty, The Vines of Chatiou
This is the nascent project of Guillaume Caty , a winegrower from the Drôme region, who, after long experiences with great local winegrowers, is launching his own project involving the recovery of family vineyards and replanting, all with the aim of not only preserving but above all recreating areas of biodiversity (agroforestry, hedges, nesting boxes, beehives...).
Guillaume spent 15 years as a farm worker, half of which was for an iconic estate in the Rhône Valley that we love: Dard et Ribo
Why mention this iconic duo here? Well, because today we are offering you their first vintage of Crozes-Hermitage , which truly reflects the style we know from them.
This Crozes exudes spontaneity. Here, you'll find the Syrah with its notes of incense and smoke, as well as spices and pepper, all complemented by the vibrant and uncomplicated aromas of small red berries. All this with a moderate alcohol content that will leave you wishing you'd had a second glass.
A perfect wine to welcome spring but not an ordinary wine, with a salient character that you will remember.
