The Gringet reaches new heights in Adrien Vallier's work

Located in the heart of the Arve Valley, the Ayze vineyard is a historic Savoy wine. This appellation, with only 21 hectares planted, draws our attention due to the presence of the rare Gringet grape variety. This mountain grape, endemic to Savoy, was brilliantly brought to light by the late Dominique Belluard of the eponymous estate.

But today we are interested in Adrien Vallier. In 2018, Adrien took over 30 ares of well-exposed vines on the south-facing slope of Môle. The 2022 vintage we are presenting today is still as rare as ever and even more precise. Those fortunate enough to still own older vintages will be rewarded for their patience.

His sole wine, aptly named Trasa, comes from vines planted on a steep slope rich in red molasse. Thanks to the expert advice of his friend Vincent Dureuil of the renowned Burgundy estate Dureuil-Janthial , Adrien has brilliantly succeeded and is already generating considerable buzz. Without a doubt, this winery is now among the most distinguished representatives of the Savoyard vineyards.
