Cantalapiedra, the great name of Rueda

We knew Manuel Cantalapiedra from the very beginning. Coming from a long line of winemakers, he released his own wines in the 2014 vintage, isolating the best vines on the estate. We already sensed that a great winemaker was emerging in Rueda , this small appellation in the central Meseta Central, located in Castile and León in the province of Valladolid, where Verdejo is the main grape variety cultivated in this continental climate.

While vines have been cultivated here since medieval times, it must be said that the majority of wines currently offered have lost the essence of their origin, the imprint of their terroir.
