Tailors and Gatherers, things are happening in the Bugey region

Tailleurs Cueilleurs is a young Bugey estate created by Chloé Bey and Jordan D'Osualdo who quickly saw their bottles placed in the best hands.

After various experiences with champions of natural winemaking, they decided in 2020 to found their own estate in the Bugey region . A region rich in diversity, with its grape varieties, altitudes, and landscapes... and which is attracting more and more young winemakers aware of current and future environmental challenges.

It is under this evocative name, placing the plant world at the heart of the project, that they have taken over 4 hectares in St Jean le Vieux, north of Bugey. The vines are protected with natural preparations and according to biodynamic principles. Great care is taken to preserve the vines, the soil, and biodiversity, notably by replanting different tree species among the vines. These two dedicated individuals even go so far as to wax their bottles with natural beeswax. Bottled without sulfur or manipulation, and driven by this attention to detail, their wines are a pure reflection of their terroir.

Bugey is a region that is on the move, and although it is close to Savoy, it is energetically writing its own history, which purists will echo.
