Simon Faure, a new interpretation of the Mâconnais terroirs

Simon Faure is none other than the husband of Jessica Litaud , one of our favorite estates in the Mâconnais region. But it would be reductive to limit him to his marital status alone, as he produces wines of a very high standard.

Located in Vergisson, it highlights the magnificent local terroirs that give birth to great white wines from southern Burgundy.

Meticulous care is taken at every stage. The grapes are harvested by hand into small crates to preserve their integrity. Pressing is gentle, retaining only the heart of the press. Fermentation takes place directly in barrels, but no new barrels are used; the most recent date from 2018 to avoid imparting any unwanted character to the wines. Vinification and aging are carried out without any additives. It is the unique terroir that brings each nuance and distinguishes the different cuvées.

The wines are very well-made , invigorating, saline, and have already quickly found a discerning audience.
