Domaine les Aricoques, alpine freshness

It is truly exciting to witness the resurgence of the Savoyard vineyards in recent years. Domaine des Aricoques is a prime example of the stylistic revolution taking place in this centuries-old region.

Located in the Frangy appellation, this young estate was established by two friends,  Guillaume Bellon and Romain Dupont, by taking over 5 hectares planted with local grape varieties: Altesse, Jacquère, Mondeuse and Gamay (very widespread in Savoie). 

Located on a glacial moraine hillside at 450 meters altitude with a south/southwest exposure, the wines are pure, deep and do not betray their origin where alpine freshness combines with the good ripeness of the berries.

This estate is a real favorite and undoubtedly one of the finest names in this region to watch closely.

(Following the devastating storm of summer 2023, the Aricoques winery was born, with its collaborative wines showcasing the specific terroirs of iconic winemakers. The result is a limited-edition, non-reproducible, collaborative, and supportive winemaking experience, but above all, exceptionally well-crafted. Made with the same meticulous care, they ensure a bright future for this estate, one of the most promising in Savoie.)
