The Oratory of Saint John of Aureilhan, the birth of a myth

On the shores of Lake Salagou , we have recently witnessed the birth of one of the greatest wines we have tasted in Languedoc.

Franck Soulayrol works on the family land, 6 hectares which he cultivates using organic farming methods, a unique blend combining Mourvèdre, Syrah and Sangiovese, a great Tuscan grape variety if ever there was one.

Patiently aged for two years in oak barrels, this wine is distinguished by its finesse, the integrity of its fruit, and its almost Burgundian freshness , all without betraying its southern, sun-drenched origins. A descendant of the Vaillé family (La Grange des Pères), it's a pleasure to compare and find similarities, so accomplished is this wine.
