Domaine de Mandelot, Haute Couture in the Hautes-Côtes

This is the first vintage from a brand new Burgundy estate, and the wines are already a great success. New, certainly, but that doesn't preclude the highest quality required in winemaking: experience. Why? Because the driving force behind this vineyard is none other than François Grangé , former estate manager of one of Burgundy's finest estates: Chandon de Briailles.

He was able to create in the village of Mandelot, in the heart of the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune , this lovely 10-hectare estate entirely cultivated using organic farming methods.

The wines see no chemicals in the vineyard or the cellar, not even sulfur! Yet they remain pure, honest, and highly aromatic. Few wines combine control and freedom with such subtlety.
