Alberto Orte , a trained oenologist originally from Madrid, is among the most knowledgeable experts on the great wines of the Iberian Peninsula. A long-time importer in the United States, where he introduced some of the finest winemakers to enthusiasts across the Atlantic, he has dedicated himself for over 20 years to showcasing, as a winemaker, the most authentic and expressive terroirs of Spain.

Thus, we are pleased to present two of these gems from the exclusive Galician appellation Valdeorras . Meaning the valley of gold, for its once-exploited gold mines, it is nevertheless in the realm of wine that true treasures are to be discovered today.
