Thomas Tixier, a breath of fresh air for Chablis

Chablis undeniably enjoys an international reputation that few wine villages can boast. So many illustrious estates for this small appellation in the Yonne, where great Chardonnay wines are born, wines that are chiseled and incisive, with incomparable longevity.

The village of Courgis itself doesn't mean much to the uninitiated. However, for seasoned wine connoisseurs, this village, located within the Chablis appellation area, evokes two of the region's most highly regarded estates: de Moor and Pattes Loups. Now, a third must be added to the list: Thomas Tixier !

Thomas took over the family estate but changed everything. In the vineyard he switched to organic farming, in the cellar he let the wines express themselves freely , in sales he turned to professionals in the food industry, whether fine restaurants or renowned wine cellars.

The unique feature of this estate is that it offers only one wine , whereas winemakers in this appellation usually produce a multitude of wines based on different terroirs.

A single wine, a personal interpretation of the appellation, to the point of formulating its own typeface, a unique and intimate signature.

We are pleased to offer you the 2022 vintage, their first, which we anticipate will have a bright future in the bottle. The 2023 vintage is still aging, leading us to believe that this estate will be one to watch very closely.
