VALLIER ESTATE
Located in the heart of the Arve Valley, the Ayze vineyard is a historic Savoy wine. This appellation, with only 21 hectares planted, draws our attention with the presence of the rare Gringet grape variety. This mountain grape, endemic to Savoy, was brilliantly brought to light by the late Dominique Belluard of the eponymous estate. But today we're focusing on Adrien Vallier. In 2018, Adrien took over 30 ares of well-exposed vines on the south-facing slope of Le Môle. The 2020 vintage we're presenting today remains as rare as ever, and those fortunate enough to still own 2019 bottles will be rewarded for their patience. Its sole wine, aptly named Trasa, comes from vines planted on a steep slope rich in red molasse. Thanks to the expert guidance of his friend Vincent Dureuil of the renowned Burgundy estate Dureuil-Janthial , Adrien has brilliantly succeeded and is already generating considerable buzz. Without a doubt, this winery must now be considered among the most distinguished representatives of the Savoyard vineyards.
